'All these things' is my début book based on a real-life relationship. This book is the product of a relationship that brought me to my lowest ebb, but from which I finally emerged triumphant – and a better, wiser person. How this relationship helped me grow as a person inspired me to write this book. It is an incredibly honest and stripped bare account, and I spare myself least of all! Furthermore, some of the conversations and occurrences that took place have to be read to be believed. You literally could not 'write them'.
When pushed to describe this book, as an elevator pitch, I say think Sex and the City, but set in London and much more gritty.
By this I mean the sex is not necessarily glamorous, the fashion reflects London and the soundtrack has an eclectic edge. It is a social commentary on London too, and talks about the East London party scene, fashion, drug use and modern icons. It is not a glossy read, but rather it touches on some quite audacious subjects that I know will resonate with so many people – and will take readers on an entertaining journey that they will get sucked into and really feel. Everyone who has come into contact has connected with what they have read and has described it as real page-turner – fast-moving and hilarious, sad and sickening by turn and I cannot wait to share with you all soon!
